When a patient is admitted to WyndRidge Health & Rehabilitation Center their care is coordinated by a complete team of professionals. This team most often includes the patient’s attending physician or Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers, Activities Staff, Registered Dietician, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists. This team develops a care plan that is designed to meet each patient’s individual needs.
Our skilled facility offers a variety of services. Amongst these are the ability to provide intravenous therapy, nutritional support, pain management, and respiratory treatments.
Skilled rehabilitative nursing assists our patients in reaching their maximum potential and gaining as much independence as possible. We are proud that many patients are able to return to their former life-styles after rehabilitation at WyndRidge Health & Rehabilitation Center.
We have a podiatrist visit the facility quarterly and will gladly assist the patient and family in arranging additional medical services such as dentist, optometrist, etc., as needed. Medicines are available 24 hours a day and hospitals are nearby in case of emergency.
Therapy Services
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy strives to maximize the patient’s ability to participate in activities of daily living. Specific therapeutic activities help patients develop, improve, and in many cases, restore their independence in dressing, bathing, eating, etc. Occupational therapy also provides to patients assistance in areas of positioning and splinting.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy provides evaluation and ongoing assessment to improve mobility, decrease pain, increase strength and endurance. Physical therapy also assists nursing staff in wound care management. An atmosphere of compassion and reinforcement helps patients reach their maximum functioning level.
Speech Therapy
Qualified speech pathologists provide ongoing treatment for patients with communication and/or swallowing disorders caused by neurological impairment or disease, the speech program includes screening, evaluation and therapy for language, speech, swallowing and hearing disorders.
Medicare Coverage
What makes a patient eligible for Medicare Part A in a skilled nursing facility?
1. The patient must have a Medicare card that reads Hospital Insurance.
2. The patient’s physician must certify that the patient needs skilled care on a continuing basis.
3. A minimum of three consecutive days (not counting day of discharge) must be spent in a hospital no longer than 30 days prior to entering the skilled nursing facility.
4. The need for skilled care must relate to the reason for hospitalization.

1. Semi-private rooms

What are the Medicare rates if the qualifying criteria is met?
1-20 days: Patient pays nothing, Medicare pays in full.
21-100 days: Daily co-insurance rate is determined by Medicare.
100+ days: Medicare no longer pays.
Medicare Part B
If you have medical coverage under Medicare Part B and you are eligible for services provided, the patient will be responsible for 20% of the total charges of some of the following services:
